Olivia S Verdugo is a designer and bird-nerd passionate about mission-driven work, interdisciplinary cross-pollination, and urban nature. She studied graphic design at the Rhode Island School of Design, where she received her MFA cum laude before moving to Philadelphia in 2011.

As design lead at the MIT Media Lab, she is responsible for design-related initiatives and materials that support the mission of the Lab, and for maintaining the integrity of the Lab’s visual standards and brand identity in print, on the web, and on-site.

Outside of the Lab, she works as the co-founder of CRUSH studio, her textile design studio, and loves spending time with her fiancée and pet rock doves.

Since 2018, Olivia's design work has been recognized through awards by GD USA, the How In-House Design Awards, the American In-House Design Awards, Graphis, and the American Advertising ADDY Awards.
