Barnes reopening signage

2020

When the Barnes Foundation reopened to the public in the fall of 2020 following months of pandemic closure, we moved our ticketing to the small outbuilding visitors encounter before they reach the main entrance. The reasoning for this was twofold: first, to mitigate Covid risks by ticketing outside our main space and avoiding congestion in our lobby, and second, to allow us to engage with passersby visually, and inform them that we had reopened. We wrapped the building in bright, Barnes-branded vinyl graphics that provided wayfinding, Covid safety information and loudly telegraphed our reopening.
